Castle Microwave Ltd. Enters Representation Agreement with MACOM

Castle Microwave Appointed as MACOM’s UK Representative for RF and Microwave Products

UK RF and Microwave components supplier Castle Microwave Ltd, a UK expert in high-reliability and mission critical electronic component selection and project management, has announced the signing of a UK distribution agreement with MACOM Technology Solutions Inc., a market innovator offering one of the widest and most reliable RF, microwave and millimetre-wave portfolios in the industry.

Offering a wide portfolio of technologies and products, MACOM serves many diverse markets, including satellite, radar, wired and wireless networks, CATV, automotive, industrial, medical, and mobile devices. The company designs and manufactures standard and custom devices, integrated circuits, components, modules, and sub-systems for customers who demand high performance, quality, and reliability.

Castle Microwave has a proven track record of developing MACOM’s target market, having been the UK representative for Metelics since 1991. The appointment is a natural progression for both parties following MACOM’s acquisition of Aeroflex/Metelics in 2015.

Castle Microwave’s Managing Director, Richard Eldridge: “This is a critically important partnership at an important moment in the industry. Castle Microwave has consistently succeeded in placing itself as the first-choice supplier of electronic components to MACOM’s target markets. It is I am sure, the start of a strong and successful relationship.”

MACOM’s EMEA Sales Director, Markus Schaefer: “With the acquisition of Aeroflex/Metelics we are underlining our focus and commitment for the SPACE market and we are very excited to partner with Castle Microwave in the UK. We are particularly impressed with the depth of Electronic Engineering resource available at Castle. In an ever-increasing competitive market, MACOM strives to positively differentiate itself through both product design and development whilst ensuring that we are represented by partners who are best able to assist our customers in all stages of their product development, from design to fulfilment.”
