AML designs and manufactures a wide range of transmit, receive and signal distribution products for operation in the 800 to 1000MHz cellular frequency spectrum. Many products are designed to customer specification, others are standard products that address broad applications. For example, the M30 30 Watt multicarrier amplifier multiple air interface power amplifier operates in AMPS, CDMA and TDMA environments, and has achieved excellent market acceptance in many world markets.
Other cellular products include a series of receive amplifiers and receive signal distribution multicouplers. Receive amplifiers are available for installation in equipment racks or in weatherized configurations designed for installation adjacent to the receive antenna. Correctly used, both configurations improve the sensitivity of the receive chain. Maximum effect is gained by positioning the receive amplifier close to the antenna such that the receive chain noise floor is set prior to the loss of the antenna feed.
